About the Role
We’re hiring a product designer to help evolve Huxley, our internal clinician tool at Outro.
Huxley is the nerve center of care delivery — a clean and practical interface that helps clinicians manage patients, notes, context, scheduling, and collaboration. It’s somewhere between an EHR, a CRM, and an ATS — but more focused and more nimble.
Your job: help bring Huxley to the next level. Streamline the interface, reduce friction. Make it feel more premium and intuitive so that our clinicians can stay in the zone and spend less time jumping around and flatten the learning curve for them. Help us introduce AI where it makes sense — and skip it where it doesn’t.
You’ll be working closely with our engineer team and clinicians, iterating quickly and shipping improvements incrementally.
You Might Be a Fit If You’ve Built…
- A healthtech dashboard clinicians actually enjoy using
- A back-office product that balances structure with flexibility
- A SaaS product with real-time data, complex relationships, or stateful UI
- AI-enhanced tooling where the assistive layer feels invisible (in a good way)
- A design system for a fast-moving team that wanted more clarity, not more rules
What You’ll Do
- Audit existing flows and propose refinements to improve clarity, speed, and UX polish
- Work with the team to design smoother AI integrations (auto-summarizing, smart defaults, etc.)
- Rework key views to reduce noise and surface the right information at the right time
- Suggest light-weight systemization (shared components, layout patterns, etc.)
- Collaborate closely with engineering on feasibility and rollout
What We’re Looking For
- Strong UX sensibility — you love thoughtful flows and know what gets in the user’s way
- A track record designing internal or complex tooling — preference for where your end user is semi-technical but not in tech (like our clinicians)
